UW Stats Offers Pre-Application Review Service
The Department of Statistics at the University of Washington is running the pre-application review service (PARS) initiative to provide support and mentorship to Ph.D. applicants from historically marginalized groups, including but not limited to racial and ethnic minorities, women and non-binary students, first-generation students, indigenous students, LGBTQIA+ students, students with disabilities, and students from low-income families. Current Statistics Ph.D. students and will review and provide feedback on a prospective applicant's statement of purpose, personal statement, and resume or curriculum vitae (CV). The process is open to students applying to any graduate program in Statistics or Biostatistics, whether at UW or any other U.S. university.
